I’ve been in the industry since I finished beauty school at 17, and I’ve loved every part of the journey. As a single mom from Colorado, my world revolves around my daughter—but behind the chair, I’m all about connection, confidence, and cutting all hair types with skill I’ve built through real-life experience. Barbering has been my therapy, my passion, and my way of giving back.
My Story
I started doing hair as a teenager—growing up, the struggle was real, and I began cutting my friends’ hair just to help out. It came naturally to me. I finished beauty school when I was 17 and haven’t looked back since. I’ve been in the industry ever since, constantly learning, growing, and honing my craft.
As a single mom, my world revolves around my daughter. I'm from Colorado and proud of my roots, but I’ve got a love for travel—Chicago is definitely winning my heart these days. No matter where I go, though, the barbershop has always been home. It’s where I feel most grounded, and most myself.
I love everything about hair—cutting, coloring, styling—for men, women, and kids alike. But it took me years to build the confidence I have today. That confidence didn’t come easy. I’ve had to overcome a lot, personally and professionally. Barbering was more than a job—it was a way back to myself. It helped me heal, helped me survive. And over time, I realized I wasn’t just cutting hair—I was holding space. My clients become like family. I'm their therapist, their confidant, their diary. I just listen, and I think that’s a big part of why they keep coming back.
I stay current by learning wherever I can—YouTube, TikTok, whatever’s trending on social. Kids are some of the pickiest clients, so staying on top of trends is non-negotiable. I love my adult clients, but the kids keep me sharp.
What I care about most is making people feel comfortable and seen. I create a welcoming space by being open, talking, and carrying myself with confidence—act six feet tall, even if you're not. That energy makes people feel at ease, and that’s everything in this business.
Giving back is important to me. I’ve been through hard times, and I know how powerful it can be to have someone in your corner. I want to be that person for others, whether it's through mentoring new barbers, sharing my tips and tricks, or just being someone they can look up to. I want to keep learning from the old heads and pass it all on.
My biggest goals? Keep growing, keep showing up, and eventually travel more with my daughter. I want her to see the world and see what’s possible when you work hard and believe in yourself.
If I’ve learned anything on this journey, it’s this: Listen. Watch. You’ll learn something new every day.
