Born and raised in north Denver, my life took unexpected turns. Losing my mother at a young age and growing up without a father figure, my twin brother and I succumbed to the temptations of the streets. The absence of guidance and support led me down a challenging path, eventually resulting in incarceration for several years.

In 2013, a turning point emerged during my time in prison when I earned a Cosmetology Certification. This marked the beginning of my journey into the world of barbering and a pivotal point in my life. I found solace and purpose in barbering, drawn to the craft's intricacies. My expertise evolved through my dedication and a genuine passion for the art of hairstyling and design.

In the early days of my barbering journey, I found myself stationed by the entrance of the barbershop, often overlooked by those seeking a fresh cut. One day, a man with his daughters walked in and hesitated as he walked by my chair. With a heartfelt plea, I assured him, "I may look a little rough around the edges, but if you sit in my chair, I promise to be your barber for life." Little did I know, that man not only became a loyal client but also gifted me a puppy named "Kialla," teaching them that appearances can be deceiving, and connections forged in a barber's chair run deeper than meets the eye.

My past challenges, shaped by the streets and prison, have become stepping stones for personal and professional growth. Barbering played a crucial role in my rehabilitation, providing a positive outlet for expression.

Building meaningful connections is at the heart of my approach. My determination to prove myself to a skeptical client resulted in a lasting relationship that extended far beyond the barbershop. I try to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that every client feels valued and comfortable in my chair. Staying current in the ever-evolving world of barbering, I utilize social media to explore new styles. I embrace challenges, ensuring that each haircut reflects my commitment to excellence.
I give back to my community by volunteering my time as a barber to unserved communities and providing not just haircuts but also support and inspiration to those facing challenges similar to my own.
Professionally, I aspire to continually excel as a barber, contributing positively to the barbering community and society at large. Personally, my goals include ongoing personal growth and continuing to build my resilience.
